Moroccan Amazigh Dance Style - Chleuh Ahwash

The Amazighs are the original Inhabitants of Morocco and North Africa in general. There are various tribes of Amazighs in Morocco. Each Tribe has its own significance, tradition, and their own dialect as well.
In this workshop, we are portraying the Moroccan Amazigh known as Chleuh, that's the region of Agadir souss and surroundings. This Dance style is usually performed by men and women on opposite sides. Each is in lines shoulder to shoulder. The dance requires a lot of hopping steps, shoulder shimmies, and some hands/arms gestures. Usually, the lines follow the leader who is typically the singer, but can be the drummer.
