Lets Figure It Out: A Creative Look At Formations: Duets, Trios, Quartets and Fades

Join Kelley and her "little friends" for this fun look at formations!

Kelley abso-bloody-lutely loves a challenge, and figuring out how to teach some of the trickiest concepts of FCBD® Style online became one of her very favorites.

In this series, she single-handedly tackles each of our Duet, Trio, and Quartet formations and shows you exactly what we can do with them. How on earth is that possible in isolation, you ask? Well, Kelley has some 'little helpers' who take you through everything, from setting up a formation and changing lead to bigger-picture concepts like Flock of Birds and Fades, plus how to set up a Diagonal and use Eye Contact to keep your group connected and reading each other.

Because FCBD® Style is a group improvisational dance, these formation skills really are the heart of dancing well together. It's one thing to know your steps, it's another to know where to stand, when to lead, when to follow, and how to move as one. That's exactly what Kelley unpacks here, step by step and dancer by dancer.

By the end of this course you'll have a clear, confident understanding of how Duets, Trios, and Quartets are built, how to change lead smoothly, how to navigate transitions like Fades, and how to use spacing, the Diagonal, and Eye Contact to make your group dancing feel polished and connected, whether you've got a full troupe or just a couple of friends in your living room.

Find a friend or two, press play, and let's figure it out together!
